Hello, my dear friends!

I am just passing by to tell you two really incredible things that happened to me a while ago.
In December last year, for the first time, since I started using Workaway website, I decide to upload a photograph to their photo competition. And I upload one photo. One of my favourites.
A few weeks later, I received an email saying that I won first prize and for that I would receive 100 Euros! I was so happy, but also so doubtful, that I though it was a scan. I didn’t know about the prize, I though it was just having your photograph chosen. They asked for a PayPal account so they could send me the cash, so I got even more sure that it was a scam. Could people have actually voted in majority for my photograph? They asked me to give a subtitle to the photograph and describe a little bit what was the situation about it.
A few days passed until I decide to check their website, see if I could find anything that could guarantee me this was for real. And I did! On their website I was listed as the 1st prize winner for December, and there was my photograph. Wow! Amazing! I was (and am) so happy that people liked my photograph so much. And voted for it! And for that I will get enough cash to keep using the Workaway website for another 3 years.
Of course I don’t have a PayPal account because I don’t have any cards, so I asked to a close friend if I could use his and “store” my cash there.
A few weeks later, I receive an email from Workaway team, asking me if I wanted to be their “Workawayer of the month”. What? Every month, for some different reasons, they choose one Workaway, interview this person, and then they publish it in the Workaway blog. Wow! And they want me to be one of these people? Is this for real? I mean, I know it might not sound like much, but I was so honored! They want to interview me about my travels and Workaway experiences! That felt so cool and unexpected!
I was pretty nervous, but the woman with whom I was exchanging email, and who did the interview, was a doll! All the time she was trying to keep me calm, telling me that it would be fine, and I just needed to relax. It helped me a lot! In the end, I think the interview it turned great!
You can check it out the interview clicking on the link below and the photograph which won the competition is from when I was hitchhiking in the desert of Namibia.
