18th of July, 2018.

Ellie does not look or sound at all how I imagined. Do not ask me how I had pictured him (judging by the two photographs he has in his CS profile) though, because I don’t know. His “flat” is actually a luxurious big and beautiful place, lovely decorated and perfectly clean and organized. Plus a amazing view from a park on the back. And about Ellie, what I can say… he is perfect! Everything is lovely easy and perfect to him. He show me his house, all the food that I could cook and eat, the bubble bath I could had if I wanted, the big and comfortable bedroom, the heater I could put on because it is freezing outside, anyway, he is perfect.
After a shower (not a bubble one) I make some pasta (just for me because Ellie left for a family dinner). I have to say that he has so much and good food that I could stay with him without blink. All those organic and free gluten stuff. And the chocolates… AH! The chocolates! He has so much chocolate and just the best ones: Twix, Kinder Bueno and M&Ms. I died a little bit just checking his cupboard.
I make a plan for the whole trip in Joburg and Pretoria and contact all the CSs. After reading a bit I went to sleep.
Next morning, Ellie has to leave for work very early but not before offering his driver to pick me up and drop me in town. Lovely!
I make some eggs and peanut butter toasts for breakfast, with a delicious hazelnut cappuccino. Oh, delicious!
Ellie comes with his driver to pick me up. We could talk a little bit more during the trip and he drops me in Laura’s place. It is quite sad to leave him. I just keep wondering why such a nice guy do not host more people…
I leave my stuff at Laura’s place, grab some food and basic stuff and go to explore Joburg for the first time. I am concerned about it because of all the bad things people have told me. So how can I know that what I was feeling was natural or I was just being influenced by their opinion?
The numbers show that Joburg is a violent city, always being in the top ten most dangerous cities in the world and in Africa. But talking about Africa, Nairobi appears even before Joburg on those lists and nobody warned me that much when I was in Kenya. Maybe here people are more sincere about it? I do not know.
