If you are in Scotland, let me tell you: enjoy the opportunity and go to some small towns, which have some huge historical importance. Stirling City is one of them. You do not even need to be a big fan of Brave Heart (I particularly am not. Please do not hate me but is just too sad for me) but if you know the history about what William Wallace did, you should not miss this town. And it is not even that small, they even have an University. I did not saw to much because I went basically to the two most famous sights: Stirling Castle (where Wallace won the famous Stirling Bridge Battle) and The William Wallace Monument. Both of them you have to pay to go inside. I did not pay it for both. Still, I totally enjoy it be in there. I mean, in the castle what is kind of important are the gates and you can even cross them without have to pay and have the outside view of the castle; and the Monument is also lovely by outside, which is the meaning of a monument, what it have inside is basically history and that one you already know, so…

Loch Lomond is also a very famous sigh in Scotland. Is just one hour and a half at North from Glasgow and once in there you can choose in which point you will stop to appreciate the view. Because, you see, it is a huge lake, so there are a few points of access or we can sit and relax at a small beach, have a picnic in the grass or even rent a boat to go for a ride. And, of course, the way to there already worth the visit. Scotland is a beautiful country to travel for it.
Oban has this huge and incredible historical importance to one of the first languages spoken in Scotland: the Gaelic. Most of the people do not even know about it because, unfortunately, as the majority of of the countries, Scotland is letting to die. In the 4th Century, when setters and missionaries came from Ireland and brought the language, people started to use all over the country. A big part of the Scotland culture it was wrote and produced in Gaelic. Apart of that, the town is a very cute port place, with a beautiful sunset. I really think you could enjoy a whole day around, make your camping somewhere and proceed with you trip next day.
